A spacious, clean slate was the dream foundation for this lower level renovation. The intention behind the layout was to blend kid-friendly zones, with a relaxed media space where the whole family could gather.
Storage was a key theme for the organized parents of 2 busy littles. Upgraded closet doors with pretty brass hardware, and dreamy media built-ins, with closed storage for games & puzzles, keeps this space functional & fresh.
The airy palette of saturated coastal blue, warm whites, and touches of sage makes you forget you're, well...in a basement.

Beginning with a basement playroom renovation, we gradually worked through other spaces in this home to bring more beauty and functionality to this busy family of 5. Drawing from their love of skiing, family, and fun, we aimed to create spaces that were warm, inviting, and modern with lots of woven textures, touches of black, and warm whites. The neutral palette will easily transition through family holidays and the various seasons of a growing family's life.

Inspired by the pillars of boyhood- superheroes, legos, and sharks- the intention behind the design was to create a space that would delight this little man's imagination in the present, but easily grow with him through future seasons of life. A calm palette, classic foundations, and luxe bedding, sprinkled with whimsical prints & pillows, lend a balance of big-kid-sophistication and inner-child-character.

Simple botanical swaps, a scattering of textural pumpkins, seasonal candles, and chic nods to Halloween were easy adds to create a sense of the season without compromising the calming, neutral aesthetic.
